    This course is our introduction to the art of wheel throwing. Students will develop fundamental skills on the wheel - centering, opening & pulling walls. Students will also learn the basics of trimming and glazing their unique forms.

    CLASS REQUIREMENTS: 

    18+ No previous experience needed.

  • 10 hours of skilled instruction, clay, use of tools & firing for up to 4 pieces included.

    Additional pieces & follow up glaze days available for purchase.

    Finished work should be picked up 2-3 weeks after class.

    This multi-week course is a continuation of our SPIN wheel throwing series. In this class, students learn how to intentionally create bowls and vases on the pottery wheel.

    SPIN: FUNDAMENTALS or equivalent required

    This multi-week course is a continuation of our SPIN wheel throwing series. In this class, students develop skills to create unique cups & mugs on the pottery wheel.

    This multi-week course is a continuation of our SPIN wheel throwing series. In this class, students will learn the art of sgraffito (aka carving). Contrasting slip will be applied to wheel thrown pieces and carved to expose the clay body underneath.

    This multi-week course is a continuation of our SPIN wheel throwing series. In this class, students will learn the art of slip trailing (aka applying thick, liquid clay to greenware) adding texture and contrast to their wheel thrown pieces.

    Have you made it through our SPIN I wheel throwing series and looking to take your skills to the next level? This course is focused on consistency & throwing with larger amounts of clay. The goal of this class is to create a matching set of mugs and a large, 5lb bowl!
